Camping

Today Kai and I discussed camping this summer. I CANNOT wait to camp, in a tent, with these kids. Yes, Koen will drive me nuts but Kai will love it more than anything. He decided he wanted a pink tent and was sad to hear that ours is yellow and blue. This is what he said to Gary this evening...

Kai: Daddy, can we go camping?
Gary: Yes, we can.
Kai: ALL RIGHT! I'LL GRAB THE KLEENEX, MY PILLOW, AND DIAPERS FOR KOEN.

Good thing I'll be helping with the packing. Kleenex? At least he thought of Koen, that's sweet:)
(I tried to get Kai dressed up for the Princess Tea Party we had with my nieces yesterday but he did not like it one bit)

  1. I love that he considers Kleenex a camping essential!

We want to camp with our kids too, but haven't been brave enough yet. Maybe this spring?

  2. Oh yes, the priness tea party...maybe we can get him a prince outfit - he may like that better - poor kid. Camping - my one advice is to get something to sleep on that takes you off the ground. We love our 1986 old, old tent trailer - nothing really works in it, but kids (and us) are off the ground - plus playpen fits where the table gets taken out!!!!
