Jeans and Beans

Koen has been making sounds like he's trying to play the trumpet. This is his trumpet playing face.

Here are just some cute pictures of Koen and a very cute giggly video. He is growing up so fast in front of my eyes. Today he sat by himself for about 20 seconds several times. Unfortunately he is not going to sleep as well because he's rolling around so today I had to feed him to sleep for each nap.

How can you not smile watching this?!

I would also like to say that I now fit comfortably in my favourite jeans which I haven't worn in about a year. Yippee!

Tonight I made bean burgers for dinner. We've been trying to eat a vegetarian meal once a week and it was a keeper! Kai said it was a very good dinner and had 2 burgers. Basically, here's the recipe:

Throw all of the following into a blender:

One can of kidney beans (drained and rinsed), 1.5 cups of bread crumbs, 1/2 cup of oats, 1 chopped onion, 2 shredded carrots, garlic, salt, pepper, cumin, basil, oregano....whatever you want. When mixed, add one egg and mix again. Refrigerate for an hour. Make patties and fry up on the stove on medium heat, about 3 minutes per side.
