Thankful Thursday

This week I am thankful for:

1. Rainboots for the family.  Makes life so much easier.

2. Our stroller. Love, love, looooooooooooooooove our double stroller. Someone likes to hold our hand when they are in the stroller or eating dinner...

3.  Cuddles with Koen.  He will often make a "comfy spot" and ask either Gary or I to cuddle with him.  He is so sweet and soaks up the cuddles.  The problem is when other kids see it and try to join in. He'll often ask for cuddle time before school and he doesn't even want to talk, he just wants to be held.

4. Rainsuits. So practical!! How did I not have them when the boys were younger?

5. VACATIONS!!!  Spring break is coming and we will be doing our annual trip to Green Lake and Ucluelet.  I love having something to look forward to.  I am nervous about having our Little One along as it's exhausting.

6.  Safety. On the way to snowshoeing this week, I was in the HOV lane and passing an accident.  I made the mistake of looking at the accident when the car in front of me stopped suddenly.  I drove into the shoulder and ended up side-by-side with the car that was ahead of me.  It totally would've been my fault and I would have caused some serious damage. Lesson learned.  The man was so nice though, he gave me a thumbs up and smile through the window.  I know better.

7. Sleep.  To those that aren't sleeping, I'm sorry.  Sleep deprivation is one of my least favourite things from the past 10 years of my life.  Wednesday was the best sleep we've had in at least 6 months, maybe more.  Check this out, folks!

8. Such a sweet opportunity for Kai and I.  I'll be honest, I'm nervous!  We're doing SuperFly Ziplines in Whistler this weekend! Has anyone done it before? Please tell me it's fun and exhilarating and not impossible for someone afraid of heights!

9. A good time snowshoeing (walking) with Nya on Tuesday.

10. A break from the rain.  It's a lot easier to get these kids to exercise when they don't have rain to complain about.

I hope you are having a great week. What are you thankful for today?

Love,
Louise

PS I may have shed a tear the first time I read this book.  Our family definitely stands out right now...in a good way.  Nya loves this library book.

  1. It's so much easier to have kids out exercising when they're not complaining. Yay for good sleep! I have a snuggly older boy too. <3

    1. I expect complaining for the first few minutes but usually they come around 😊

  2. Close calls while driving are scary and very upsetting especially when you know that it was your mistake. I was making a left turn a month ago, and did not see a pedestrian until the last minute when I slammed on my brakes. Thankfully, I could stop in time, but it sure shook me up and made me realize anew how easily accidents can happen and how careful one has to be. Glad you were able to avoid an accident and were able to continue on and enjoy your snowshoeing outing with Nya.
