Mother Daughter Snowshoeing Date

This morning I took Nya up to Mt. Seymour–it was lovely and we got a fabulous parking spot!  I have written before about my tips for snowshoeing with kids but I would like to add to it: if possible, go on a weekday!

We only went about half way to the lake (500 m) but she was running the whole way.  Well, when she wasn't running she was throwing snowballs at me or trying to make a snow angel.  Here are some photos from our morning together.

{Snowball fight!}

{You can see the snow level as the bridge rails are usually up near my shoulders!}

{I was there, too!}

It's not often that I have a morning with just one kid so that was such a great way to start a Tuesday!

Love,
Louise

  2. This is amazing!! Ive actually never been snowshoeing despite living so close to a snowy mountain! This looks like such a special trip with your girl and I love that it is something active and outdoors too. Hope those boys weren't too jealous ;)

    1. I would encourage you to go! We have our own snowshoes and go several times a year (the provincial trails are free!)
