I have been challenged by several people, particularly my brother in law, to join in a 5 week, 5lb plan. I really need to lose a lot more than 5lbs but I'll start with that. I will weigh in each Monday and let you know how it's going. To start with, I weigh a billion pounds. Really, I weigh as much as I did when Koen was born. Yuck. The past two days I have worked out for 1 hour, but it has been indoors due to the weather (oh my goodness, I am not a person who enjoys weather below ZERO degrees, this is RIDICULOUS!!!). Elliptical, push ups, sit ups, weights etc. There's no prize (except for pride!), but you know, you could comment and let me know how your 5 week challenge is going! We will do the final weigh in on December 26th:) Both Tyler and I weighed in last night and the scale wasn't pretty for either of us. Being that it is over the Christmas holidays, it will be trickier, but I think that means we will just make wiser decisions. Right?!
No more excuses. It's time. I need to feel healthier because I know it translates to all areas of my life. Even if I don't lose 5lbs (yikes, I hope I lose at least 5lbs), at least I'll feel better.
Happy exercising!!
NICE! How fun!! Im doing the whole 'lets see how much I gained this week' :) I've finally hit 20 lbs! And yes, im sure this excitement will wear off....soon i'll be doing the 'help me louise i need to lose baby weight' cry :)
ReplyDeleteI love it! Im not trying to lose any weight, but I am trying to get more exercise in every week... I commend you and Tyler on being so brave as to do this during Christmas time!! I don't think I could resist. Go you!
ReplyDeletegood luck! i've no doubt you'll pass and then some. I'd join you, but I'd be going in the wrong direction...
ReplyDeleteI'm supposed to go up on the scale til Feb/March!
=)
Have fun!
Good luck. I think that you look great though regardless of how much you weigh. I am sure though that this has more to do with feeling good. I can't wait for the winter to pass and get back to being in shape. While I don't have weight to lose, I definitely need to gain muscle!! I have lost it all........not pretty.
ReplyDeleteNo, that scale was not nice to me either. It told me that I'm the heaviest I've ever been in my life!
ReplyDeleteLosing weight over Christmas is definitely going to be a huge challenge. But every pound lost over Christmas is like loosing two at any other time of the year: I usually gain five pounds over Christmas, so loosing five will put me ten ahead of normal.
Good luck Louise. I think you can do it.
I admire you for taking on this challenge right now - 5 weeks leading up to Christmas! Good for you! I need to lose much more than 5 pounds, but not sure that I have the will power or desire to start until after Christmas!
ReplyDeleteAlright Louise, I join you in your challenge. I will keep you posted on how it is going.
ReplyDeleteGood luck! And good idea to do it over Christmas because it probably makes you think more about what you're eating too! And hopefully the weather will get warmer soon!
ReplyDeleteI'm in Louise. Thanks for the challenge. I'll keep you updated.
ReplyDeleteHappy exercising.
Yep, I'm in. I do my weigh-ins on Tuesday morning's b/c I have always tried to match it up with the Biggest Loser :)
ReplyDeleteI'm at the heaviest I've ever been.
ReplyDeleteMy goal this Christmas is NOT to gain weight, (and a bonus to lose 3-4lbs before New Years.)
But this 5pounds in 5 weeks might be too disappointing for me if I don't make it.
When this crazy cold weather goes away, we will have to get out for a brisk walk.
I am in Louise! I am just starting a healthier eating plan and will now work some exercise as well. I am sure that you can strengthen your muscles and tone them in 5 weeks even if the scale doesn't show it. Take your measurements too, although that was really depressing after the scale wasn't nice to me either. We can do it!
ReplyDeleteSo what prize to I get when I win this challenge? :)
