Share Your Story

Hello, friends! I'm trying something new and I'm nervous that there will be a lack of participation. However, one thing I have learned in life is it usually doesn't hurt to try.  Well, unless it's snowboarding–hello, whiplash! So, here we go. Last year my friend Estelle shared her journey with infertility here and it reached over 1,000 people. That's 1,000 people that can either relate to her story or learn from it. As a life-long lover of learning, I appreciate hearing people's stories and gaining a new perspective–is this you, too?

People who read this blog are open and supportive and I feel that it is a safe place to share.  Do you have a story to tell?  A life lesson? A unique perspective?  If so, I'd love for you to share it here. Don't consider yourself a writer? No problem, my major was biology and I still can't figure out commas.

I'm reading Brenè Brown's book Rising Strong right now and in it she says

"The irony is that we attempt to disown our difficult stories to appear more whole or more acceptable, but our wholeness–even our wholeheartedness–actually depends on the integration of all of our experiences, including the falls."

If you are interested, just send me an email at louisechap@gmail.com and we'll see how this goes. If you'd prefer an interview type format, that could be fun too. As always, thank you so much for reading!

Love,
Louise

PS Not all contributions will be shared as it is at my discretion.  I would like it to fit the feel of this place. Also, if you would prefer to post anonymously, that is okay!

  1. I just laughed out loud at your snowboarding comment... totally my experience and I have no desire to ever try again. I prefer the chalet :)

  2. I LOVE this idea! I sometimes struggle with feeling like I don't have anything to write because I don't have a "big" life story, however if I can think of something to share I'll send it your way.
