Netflix Inspired Pumpkin Carving

Fall is here and we're living it up with pumpkin pancakes and scones, walks amongst gorgeous fall leaves and visiting pumpkin patches.  Next up is Halloween and the countdown is on!  Gary is our pumpkin carving expert and I am the... encourager.  Each year the kids get to pick one character for Gary to carve and Nya's was the first one he made.

There are many stencils online and Nya decided to go with her very favourite Netflix show which is My Little Pony (there are 6 season in case you were wondering).  I bring my iPad mini with headphones along when I have meetings to attend and that is always her show of choice.

Gary made Pinkie Pie today and Nya loves it.  We'll see what the boys choose later this week but I would anticipate that there will be a Pokemon in there.

Netflix has many shows to get you in the mood for Halloween.  We don't watch a lot of scary shows in our home but the kids enjoyed Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures and I think they'd enjoy the Scooby Doo ones as well. Gary and I did binge watch Stranger Things and I love that Mike Wheeler (Finn Wolfhard) is from Vancouver.

If you're trying to find ideas for your kids for Halloween, you can turn to Netflix for inspiration as well.  This photo is from last year but shows a dalmatian costume we already had which we altered to be Marshall from Paw Patrol.

What are your kids planning on being for Halloween?  Who is the pumpkin carver in your family?

I hope that you have a great week!

Love,
Louise
