What We're Watching on Netflix

I love hearing what other people are watching on Netflix.  I don't love just watching anything because time is precious–especially being that we have four young-ish kids and just one to two hours to ourselves each night.

Here's what the different family members are watching:

Gary:
1. White Collar. We started together but now he's on his own as I liked it but did not love it. He watches almost one episode a night.

2.  Raiders!: The Story of the Greatest Fan Film Ever Made.  Gary tried to explain why this was awesome but I think we have different ideas on this one.  If you are a fan of Raiders of the Lost Ark, you'll probably enjoy this.

Louise & Gary:
Finding shows that we both like can be tricky.  These are three things we watched together this month:

1. Narcos Season 2.  You have to be okay with violence.  I find the whole story fascinating and can't believe it really happened.

2.  The Revenant.  This was a good movie–probably an 8/10.  Again, you have to be okay with violence.  I am now even more afraid of bears.  It was interesting to look up how close it was to reality and spoiler alert: it's very loosely built on it and there are so many discrepancies.

3. Poverty, Inc.  A documentary that is a bit slow but eye-opening on the issue of the global charity industry.

Louise:
1. Gilmore Girls. I've been working through it for so long but feel the pressure to have it done by November for the new show!  I don't think I'll finish in time as I can't really binge watch it.

2. The Good Wife.  Again, not binge watching but interested in this one and about 4 episodes in.

Kids:
1. SpongeBob SquarePants
2. Scooby-Doo! Wrestlemania Mystery
3. Equestria Girls (okay, just Nya)
4. Zootopia (Family movie night!)

So there you have it.  If you have a minute, let me know what you're into!

Love,
Louise

Lauren LOVES Scooby-Doo! I'm a bit horrified because of all the ghosts etc but she loves it! I think it may be because Bryan said he watched it as a little boy :)
Bryan and I watched Captain Phillips, Bridge of Spies, and Navy Seals doc in last month and enjoyed them. Revenant is on our list!

    1. Ha! I love that Lauren watches Scooby Doo too :) I remember watching it when I was younger, do you? I liked Captain Phillips, will have to check out the other two. I bet Gary and I would love the Navy Seals documentary.

  2. We recently saw poverty inc too! So interesting and a totally different approach on charities. I liked how the showcased some local businesses too. Edwin & I like watching documentaries together too. We also watched Departures recently - two Canadian guys who travel the world for two years. It'll reallyyyy make you want to go on a trip!

    1. I felt a bit uncomfortable watching Poverty, Inc because it goes sort of against what we've been doing as a society! I'll have to check out Departures but my travel bug is already in full force, not sure I can handle it ;)

  3. Funny, my husband and I just started watching White Collar and I couldnt get into it either, so he is watching it on his own now. We started watching Good Wife together and I agree, its ok but nothing like Suits or Scandal! We also recently finished watching the different British crime shows and they were pretty good (Marchella, Broadchurch and Happy Valley).

  4. We go back and forth between Netflix and Shomi. We're always watching some season of Friends along with some other show... favorite recent one was Stranger Things.
