The Music of Junk is a high-energy 120-minute show where 11 different singers and musicians utilize instruments that have been made of out of, well, junk! The creator Paul Snider came up with the idea when visiting Kenya years ago when he saw people reusing and re-purposing objects that had been in the trash. The Music of Junk includes instruments such as a saxophone made from a bike and a harp from an old bed frame!
The Music of Junk will be showing on October 1st at the Massey Theatre in New Westminster at 2 PM. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for students and seniors, and $5 for children. This is an event that would be great for the whole family or just some fun with friends as it claims to be "littered with fun and toe tapping tunes".
