We normally don't have a lot of baking in our house because, well, I eat it. Being that Christmas is coming, I tend to be a bit more fun (right, Gary?) and there's more sugar than normal in our home. We decided to make "The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies" (oh my goodness, two cups of sugar!) Nya and I made the dough the day before because four kids in the kitchen is too crazy for me and then we chilled it overnight. We used the cookie cutters to make some fun shapes and after being in the oven for just eight minutes--ta da!
Next up was some decorating, because as I've mentioned, I'm fun. If you're going to have two cups of sugar, why not three?! This is the Sugar Cookie Icing recipe we used.
{Note: You may not want your three-year-old to have control over the sprinkles}
That last part of the activity was to choose a Netflix Christmas movie. Here are some of the options that Netflix has for the Christmas season...
In order to cater to the two younger kids, we chose Thomas & Friends: Merry Christmas Thomas. Nya gave it five thumbs up.
In the spirit of Christmas, I am giving away a six-month subscription to Netflix (Canadians only!) Just comment below with the family holiday show or movie that you are planning to watch on Netflix this month (or WOULD watch if you had it!) That's it – just leave a comment with your email address please! Winner will be picked on December 16th, 2015.
Love,Louise
