Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life

If you've been following along with me for the past year, you know I've been watching Gilmore Girls for the first time!  I love having it playing while editing photos or running on the treadmill.  I feel like it's been there with me through so many hard times this year.  The show isn't edge-of-your-seat action, it's just witty banter with some great pop culture references thrown in there (which is funny because my pop culture knowledge is really lacking).  This Friday, Netflix is releasing a revival of four seasons set ten years after the finale of the original series and is called Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life.

I had saved the very last episode for this week.  I had an hour to myself and I made a big cup of tea and cried through the last episode.  Spoiler alert ahead...I love when Lorelai's dad told her how proud he was of her and how Luke put together a party for the whole town (I was always Team Luke and need to buy Gary some more plaid shirts).

Netflix sent over some Gilmore Girls gear which included the best Luke's mug (so big!) and trivia cards.  I feel like there should have been some Chinese food take-out and pizza in there too–that show always makes me hungry because they eat so well!  Here's an example of a trivia question: When Logan met Rory, what was his nickname for her?

If you've never watched Gilmore Girls, I'd recommend it; it's sweet and a good, clean show.  This Friday I'll be having a bunch of friends over to watch it with me–some that are big fans and others that have never seen it.

Maybe one day I'll be watching it with Nya because I totally could have seen watching it with my own  mom.  By the way, as per the trivia question asked above, Logan called Rory "Ace"...that's better than Gary calling me "Pal" when we first started dating.  Ahem.

Do you have plans for Friday night? Are you a fan or have you never even seen an episode?

Love,
Louise
