Thankful Thursday

This week I am thankful for:

1. My cousin's wedding. I love seeing people find their spouse!  It was a good time catching up with some relatives from Alberta that I rarely see as well. PS Loved her dress–those lace overlay ones are so beautiful!

2.  Journaling with Kai.  Every day I write Kai a question and when he wakes up in the morning, he responds.  He's usually up first so he has a lot of time to answer.  I love seeing his answers but I won't share them :)

3.  Gary.  Our life is a little bit on the crazy side of things (aka a little beyond my preferred level of stress) but together, we can do it.  We had some time this week with just the original Chapmans and it was so nice to just hold hands.

4. A new mattress pad. So silly maybe but it is a temperature regulator one!  It has a warm side and a cold side...loving how quickly I warm up these days!

5.  Cousins.  We celebrated Easter early with Gary's side of the family.  A couple of the girls have moved away for school already (so crazy!) and our kids really look up to their older cousins!

6.  Hot tub fun.  Grandma and Grandpa have a hot tub so that's always fun for the kids!

7.  Nice family walk.  Just in case you think my family always love these walks, let it be known that one child is always miserable. Ahem.

8. Being teachers.  It is so nice having holidays together!  In the past we have always had weddings to photograph over the holidays but soon we will have breaks without any weddings! One more this Spring Break and one in the summer and then it's full out family vacation time.

9.  Friends.  I have some great ones that I have known for so long.  Lynette and I have been friends since 1991!

I got to see Ali and Leah this week and we've been friends since 2002 ish?

10.  Family time!  We were able to do the Capilano Suspension Bridge AND go out for lunch with just our family of five and it was so much fun.

{Yes, they replaced Koen's bbq sauce. Ahem}

I hope you are having a good week!  I can't wait to share what we've been up to but there's no wifi where we are :)

Love,
Louise

  2. I enjoyed the 'then & now' photos of you and Lynette. I think I like today's style in clothing better!
