Stanley Park Hallowe'en Ghost Train

I've never been on the Stanley Park Ghost Train and tonight was the big night!  I wasn't sure about taking my two boys (aged six and nine) but they were totally comfortable with the spooky factor--especially because we went while it was still light out at 6 pm.

 The train is running daily from October 9th to November 1st from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm where you can experience the live theatrical performances with a "Classic Horror" theme.  If that seems a bit too much for your little ones, there is the option of attending a matinee from Friday to Sunday 11:00 am to 5:30 pm where there are no live actors.

There is some scary music playing on the train which adds to the ambiance.  Here are some photos of the scenes from the train ride...

{Kai was nervous but ended up liking it.  Most of the action takes place on the right side of the train in case you have someone who is a bit more hesitant about it}

After the 14 minute train ride, we went to the Spooky Barn.  It wasn't that scary but the kids were sure to point out all of the spiders to me since that is what I am afraid of.  The cost of this portion is $2/person.

There was free face-painting and Koen decided to get something that would scare me...

There is also a booth set up with various skulls and furs of nocturnal creatures.  Kai guessed the coyote correctly. There is also a maze and a craft station.

The Stanley Park Train is collecting non-perishable items for the food bank so don't forget to bring a few items!  You can find out more information about this event here.

{Yikes--I almost didn't want to post this picture! Too scary!}

If you want to win two tickets to go on the train on October 15th, please enter in the Rafflecopter below.  Please note: I have the tickets on hand and would need to hand deliver them to get to you on time so you need to be in the Langley/Surrey area please :)

    We have been but I've been so busy, I haven't got organized this year. Seems like fate...It's my husband's 35th birthday on that day and there are 35 hours left in the give a way...fingers crossed
