Tulips of the Valley Festival

I've always wanted to see the Tulip Festival and I'm happy to say that we finally went this year.  The rain held off and we arrived early enough (10:30 am) before the crowds got there.  It's close to Harrison Hot Springs so it takes about an hour for us to get there.  You need to pay for parking and then take a 5 minute shuttle bus to the actual Tulip Festival.  The kids were free to enter and Gary and I were $5 each.  They only accept cash so come prepared!

It was really beautiful.  It takes about one hour to walk all the way around the field if you take your time.  You are not allowed to walk between the rows, only on the outer mud paths and one path down the middle.    Makes sure you check the times and dates here before you go and try to get there right when it opens.  My recommendations would be to wear rain boots and take a good camera!

Love,
Louise

  4. It looks beautiful! Funny, I was just talking with my Mom about this the other day. I'll have to let her know that the tulips are all out and blooming and she should go while she can! How did your kids finding walking around tulips for an hour? Mine would've been so bored, haha!

    1. Lori, my kids were totally fine. My 8.5 year old probably enjoyed it the least (but snacks make everything better) but the younger two just loved smelling all the tulips :)
