Thankful Thursday

This week I am thankful for:

1. Best buddies!  That's what they say when they're together.  Koen has also trained Nya that when he says, `Who's the best?' she says, `Koey's the best!'.  The boys are SO good with her.  So inclusive, sweet and encouraging.

2. Patience.  Parenting kids is mentally exhausting.  Well, parenting two boys that fight all the time and don't always listen is tiring.  I think I can, I think I can....  Also, Nya is sick again just five days after finishing her antibiotics for a chest infection. This makes her a `tad' demanding.  I don't like complaining about it because there are people with REALLY serious health issues .

3.  A husband who says `yes' when I suggest activities.

4. Friday Night Lights.  Gary and I enjoy watching Netflix together.  We have watched the entire series for Suits, Breaking Bad, and now, we have just two episodes left of Friday Night Lights. I don't want it to end!!! PS Don't watch Breaking Bad unless you are good with gory stuff.

5.  Checkout 51.  My friend Katrina recommended this app and in just a few days I already made $3  buying what I would purchase anyway!

6.  Subbing jobs.  I now accept up to 2 days of teaching a week.  I don't know what I'll do work wise once the kids are all in school but I love all the options available (teach, sub, photography....).

7.  My fitbit.  I almost always try to get at least 10,000 steps a day so it really does work well for me!

8. Nya coming along to Disney World.  Yes, it might be a bit trickier for Gary and I to both do the rides as Nya is too small for quite a few, but to me, it is so worth it to have our whole family there.

9.  Another nephew on the way! I have a grand total of 13 nieces and only 4 nephews so this will help with the numbers a bit :) Did you know that we are the only family, out of our 6 siblings, that have two boys?  I'm so glad I have multiple friends with two or more boys, it makes me feel understood.

10. Coffee. Just one cup a day and I'm a happy girl.  It needs to be first thing in the morning before anything else happens.

I hope you are having a good week!!  PLEASE leave a comment on something you are thankful for, it makes me smile.

Love,
Louise

PS On my sidebar you can see how to help the Hoos family as their daughter is fighting leukemia and seems to be spending more time in the hospital than out of it.  The money raised is to pay for someone to clean their home while they are in and out of the hospital over the next year or two.

    1. I like that there are items on it like `eggs, tomatoes, bread' where the brand doesn't matter so you can just buy what you normally would. It might take a while to get my first payment of $20 but it's better than nothing :)

    2. Totally earned my first $0.50 this weekend for buying tomatoes. I also like the non-brand-specific ones! Jon just laughed when I told him I saved us $0.50...he totally doesn't think it's worth the effort...but it totally is!

  5. PS - In about 1 year I've been using Zweet, I've already gotten a $20 check about 2 months ago and am back at around $3. I too, like the non-name brand things, and I REALLY try not to let Zweet influence my spending...!!! haha
