Thankful Thursday

This week I am thankful for:

1. A safe trip home.   The boys entertained themselves in the airport by seeing how many times they could pass each stuffie back and forth.   In case you were wondering, Perry the Platypus won at 21 passes.

2. The kids not getting sick until we were on our last flight/at home.  All three kids got pretty sick.  It was one of my least favourite 5 hours ever on that Toronto to Vancouver flight.  Oh, and the car ride home was pretty miserable too!

3. Nya's respiratory health on our trip! (PS We didn't buy all these stuffies, they were part of our welcome package! So awesome, right?).

4.  Funny tv shows playing in restaurants.  Whether it was America's Funniest Home videos or the original Mickey Mouse shows, it kept these kids laughing.

5.  A son who is very emotionally invested in the Canucks.  He will definitely cry if they lose tonight.

6.  Characters who are so good with kids.  They all know how to respond to each child and pose and interact accordingly.  It's pretty amazing to see!

7.  A wonderful experience with our hotel; Animal Kingdom Lodge.  It was so fun to stay somewhere that we would never normally be able to!

8.  The moment Nya spotted Cinderella.

{This was my face in response}

9.  The kids all being willing to wait in line or walking far distances to see their siblings on attractions that they would like.  The boys may not have liked the carousel or Little Mermaid but they willingly participated!

{Ha, they may not have been smiling about it}

10. Being HOME SWEET HOME!!  We did 6 loads of laundry last night and are just resting today so that the kids will feel 100% soon.  So nice to sleep in our own beds and not have to get up before 6 am!!  Also, I cannot wait to start eating properly again.  We have had way too many carbs and I'm craving fresh fruits and veggies!

I hope you had a wonderful week and as always, please share something that you are thankful for today!

Love,
Louise

  2. Oh man. Disney trips are famous for getting sick in our house. First time, all three kids got sick on the way home (Shaylah on the plane). Second time, Shaylah had to miss the last Disney day (with us adults taking turns staying with her in the hotel) because she was too sick. Germs everywhere! But totally worth it. 😄. Glad you had such a great time!

    1. Really?! Poor Shaylah! I wish I had thought about it....usually we're good about washing hands and sanitizer but somehow, well, we weren't very good with it. Lesson learned!

    1. Thanks, Terri :) Probably like if the boys met their favourite hockey player, right? I think you feel things like I do.

  6. AFV was a weekly tradition in our house, great show!
    I love your response to Nya spotting Cinderella. Taking kids that age to Disney looks like it's own kind of experience.
    So sorry that they all got sick on the plane. Gross. Didn't that happen on your Phillipines trip? Not fair!
