The night before Halloween, Gary carved the boys pumpkins per their request. Koen chose an `Angry Bird' and Kai chose a classic pumpkin face.
What prize did Koen choose from the dentist? A plastic spider. Why? Because he knows I'm freaked out about spiders. Where could they have learned about this whole `bugging mommy' thing from ? :)
The kids were soooo excited. I'm glad we got one homemade costume in the mix (Kai's an Iron Chef in case you couldn't tell). My goal is to do more homemade ones as it just reminds me of the good old days.
My nephew Isaac joined us for a bit. Nya just sucked on a huge lollipop the whole time. She then was awake in her crib for one hour past her bedtime. She loved walking up and down the streets and holding out her bowl for candy.
After an hour, the boys returned home to hand out candy. It is so busy that they just sit on the bottom of the stairs because otherwise you would never get a chance to sit down. It's also very stroller friendly!
I'm hoping we quickly eat through Nya's mini chocolate bars. I don't like candy and I won't touch the boys treats so ya, then I don't have to worry about my lack of self control with those mini bars!
Hope you are having a good weekend. I'm currently making applesauce in the slow cooker and our house smells lovely.
Potty training is still in full effect. I'll let you know how it goes after the weekend.
Love, Louise
I recognize Nya's costume:) maybe next year grace can wear it! Very curious on your potty training techniques - where do you put the potty? Just keep in bathroom? Go Nya go !!
