Girl Name

Oh no!! We've had the same girl name chosen for about 2 years as we had it ready in case we adopted a daughter. Anyway, two nights ago I was reading a book to the kiddos and found a new girl name that I kind of really like. Gary likes it too!!

I like both equally. I don't think I can wait to meet our daughter to see what name would suit her. Yikes! The original one is cute (and I love the shortened version of it), the new one is pretty (and is short and more unique than our boys' names). Both work well with Kai and Koen.

Hopefully a few days of thinking about it will make it clear.

In other news, I suddenly really have an appetite. I'm not sure if my thyroid is back on track or if the baby just requires more calories right now. Regardless, I've eaten so healthy this whole pregnancy until now. Baby (and me) may have enjoyed a milkshake and a blizzard this week.

14 more sleeps, people. 14 more sleeps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  1. Ah, that is a (good) dilemma! Can you make one the middle name, or give baby two middle names?

  2. is it creepy that I'm counting down for you too??? SO excited! Anna had two potential names until the day she was born (the other was Lucy) Steve and I both had a gut feeling for Anna from the beginning though, so we went for it!!! 14 MORE SLEEPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. Kelly-I guess that's a good way to look at it! At least Gary and I agreed on two names that we liked rather than none:)

Megan-not creepy at all! It's awesome.

  4. Is there a first name / middle name combo that works with the two together?

Or you could always double up on middle names...

    ???

When she is born, she will look like one or the other... you will look at her and just know.

    :-)

  5. yahoo! You could always throw them together (we couldn't decide between kiva and ani, so figured with Kivani we could decide later ... although naturally Riles calles her Vani and that's stuck...)

    V. excited for your little girl. t
