Thankful Thursday

Practicing gratitude time.  Here we go.
This week I am thankful for:

1. Free public pools in Surrey.  Gary is so good about taking the kids each summer.  Our Little One has especially enjoyed it.

2.  Playgrounds.  Love all the opportunities for the boys to practice their Ninja skills.

3.  Olympics.  Gary and Kai love watching every single sport.  I can't wait for the track and field events.

4.  Beach day.  Low key day that the kids complained about when I told them we were going yet loved while we were there.  Why do they always have to do that?!  We have been racing these rubber animals for seven years!

5. This smile. Oh, do I love her smiles. Yesterday the boys were having a jumping contest into the pool and Nya was the judge.  Kai called his final jump the "I love Nya Jump" and won the jackpot.

6. Friendly wildlife.  On our hike I was so grateful to NOT see a bear.  We have since bought bear spray and whistle for peace of mind.

7.  A great hiking trip with the kids. So proud of them and glad that we were safe and sound.

8.  A strong healthy body.  I know how quickly this can change and I'm so thankful for where it's at right now.  I'm trying to figure out if there is any correlation between an endometrial ablation and weight gain as I've uncharacteristically gained 5 lbs in the last two months but I feel good. Maybe it's muscle. Maybe it's Gary's cooking/baking (see #10).

9. Comfort items. Kai is past the stage of needing one but Koen and Nya (especially Koen) do so well having their special blankies.

10.  A husband who loves being in the kitchen.  So great. Also, we love having a blackberry bush in our backyard!

What are you thankful for this week?

Love,
Louise

  1. Another great list - maybe #8 and #10 have some correlation!

    1. Ha! I just added that into #8 before reading your comment! I think it could definitely be related :)

    2. I'm sure that you are right - it's muscle after all the hiking you have done.

  2. Thankful for those moments when the boys still hold my hand.
