Thankful Thursday

This week I am thankful for:

1. A great Amazing Race birthday party for Kai.  Afterwards he thanked us many times and said that it was the highlight of his summer  :)

2. Safe travels.  We were in Invermere this week which is about a 10 hour drive each way.  So thankful for safety.

3.  Charlie Olivia.  I'm usually pretty frugal but the second I saw Cabbage Patch kids at Costco I had Nya pick one to put in the cart.  She chose Charlie Olivia and loves her.  One of my happiest memories when I was a child is when I got my cabbage patch kid at Christmas.  It might sort of be for me too but I'm glad she likes her!  She did get concerned today about Charlie Olivia's mom still being at Cotsco and wanting to go get her for her baby.

4.  Painted toenails in flip flops.  Yes, they are on backwards.

5. Nya sleeping soooooo well on our trip! Yahoo!!!!!!!!!!  This deserves 500 exclamation marks.

6.  A family with personality.  I just asked them to stand by the sign.  So many great boardwalks to do in the Revelstoke area!

7.  Hiking in Invermere.  We hiked to a waterfall with our friends and the kids did great!

8.  Spending time with good friends.  Jen, Andrey and Ella are the friends that we visited in the Philippines last year.  They are travelling across the country and we met up in Invermere staying with some other friends.  Great to catch up!

9.  The chance to go paddle boarding. Our host/friends had two awesome paddle boards and we were all able to go!  Super easy on a bigger board and calm water.

10.  Some family time at Fairmont Hot Springs.  Beautiful scenery, warm pools, and Kai's first time off the diving board. (No water wings allowed hence the uncomfortable life jacket for Nya)

Very thankful for a wonderful and safe vacation before school starts again for Gary on Monday.  I love exploring BC and I know there is just so much more out there to see!

I hope you were able to find a whole lot to be thankful for this week too!

Love, Louise
