Everyone goes through busy/tough stages and right now we are in the last two weeks of a wilder time. Gary is finishing up coaching basketball and then I will have my other driver back home. As much as basketball season is hard for us, it is important to him and so we make it work and I want to support him in that. Just because something is hard doesn't mean we need to hear "Maybe he shouldn't do it" – I wrote about that here. So without further ado...
This week I am thankful for:
1. Gary enjoying his drone. He is loving using it for photos and videos and it still getting used to it.
2. Sunny Family Day. So so needed. A giant dose of vitamin D over the weekend is just what I needed.
3. Koen reading to Nya. Our kids are great one on one with eachother. Put three together and it's a disaster. Anyone else have that? Love these moments.
4. Beach time. So looking forward to the summer! This is Brae Island in Fort Langley.
5. Watching figure skating with Nya Bear. Anyone else have memories of watching with their mom? So sweet. Yes, we all love our Yogibo!
6. Quiet moments. The kids were home for five days straight and spent some down time drawing and colouring. While very ususal for Nya this is so rare for the boys.
7. Gary being home! He was just gone for two days but during a busy time it feels like so much longer. I'd say I miss him but what I miss the most is another driver in the home. #keepingitreal
8. This thought. I really appreciate how she wrote it...it's not like "Bad things make you grow" because boo for bad things BUT when life is tricky it's a hopeful way to look at things.
9. Healthy cookies. I have a double batch in the freezer so I can grab a snack (or breakfast) on the go. They are from Quinoa 365 and I like them!
10. A meal! Thanks to my step mom for dropping off a meal (gluten-free) for when Gary was gone last week. So appreciated especially as it was on a day when I had to take two kids to the hospital (for appointments not an emergency). Long day!
What is something that you are thankful for today?
Love,
Louise
