For the past five days we have been on the go exploring Vancouver Island. Our kids have been spending hours playing at the beach, skimboarding, hiking new trails, and even spelunking! My Fitbit has us getting 15,000-25,0000 steps a day! Here are some of our adventures from the past few days...
Searching for sea anenomes and sand dollars at Tigh-Na-Mara |
Little Qualicum Falls–can you find my family? |
Island exploring off of Schooner Cove in Tofino |
Kai skimboarding on Mackenzie Beach |
Wild Pacific Trail in Ucluelet |
Incinerator Rock on Long Beach, Tofino |
Playing cards after roasting marshmallows |
Spelunking at Horne Lake Caves |
You would think that at the end of the day they would be so tired and fall asleep right away but that is not the case. How do they unwind? They love to keep some of the routine from home so they get to watch a show before bed using the iPad. If there is WiFi they watch Teen Titans on Netflix. If not, they watch a Netflix download like Veggie Tales or Spongebob SquarePants.
If you are looking for a travel adventure for your kids from the comfort of your own home, why not check out Wild Ones or Frozen Planet on Netflix? Do you have a favourite travel documentary?
Hope you are having a wonderful start to your summer!
Love,
Louise
